International Medical Centres are a growing network of 13 centres in Uganda. This includes clinics offering quality primary care to the public, as well as clinics catering for the employees of industries such as mines, schools, farms and factories.

The first IMC was opened in 1996 by Dr Ian Clarke, in 2 rooms of the Watoto building, central Kampala. This was the start of IMC and the first of the IMG businesses. Many years later IMC Watoto still thrives, and is part of a clinic network that now serves a quarter of a million patients a year throughout Uganda.

A network of quality clinics across Uganda

Each clinic offers different services tailored to the needs and demands of the area, and all clinics have a high standard of clinical care. Typically IMCs offer Doctor Consultation, laboratory services, pharmacy, and nursing care, with a treatment room for minor procedures.

Whether you have medical insurance or not, we strive to provide exceptional clinical care, and friendly service that will ensure IMC is the clinic of choice for you and your family.

Our Vision

IMCs are committed to the delivery of exceptional primary healthcare across the country. We ensure best clinical practice is carried out by our physicians and clinicians, who undergo regular and further training, and continuous assessment and mentorship as part of their employment. Our labs carry out the gold standard in testing, and undergo a schedule of quality control measures. We regularly assess the quality of the drugs we dispense and ensure they are of the highest standard.

You may not leave an IMC with an armful of unnecessary drugs and needle pricks, however you will leave having been cared for by a doctor and clinicians you can trust.
