International Medical Centre is excited to announce the expansion of its Mbale Clinic with an In-Patient Department launched on Mbale, 3rd August, 2020.
This expansion drive is aimed at increasing the healthcare services being offered by the clinic and ensure that the people of Mbale and the surrounding area has access to advanced, quality and best healthcare.
Joel Oroni the General Manager of International Medical Centre says through the IPD, we shall be able to admit patients with various medical conditions that require appropriate care and attention. Besides admission, the clinic will continue to offer other services like; – treatment of minor procedures, general medicine, pharmacology, check-ups, laboratory and specialized tests (including DNA testing, antenatal screenings and services).
“We have equipped the clinic with beds, medical equipment, round the clock availability of
dedicated team of professional and specialized medical doctors and nurse,” Mr. Oroni emphasized.

This move is aimed at ensuring that every individual has access to specialized medical services in the most advanced healthcare centre across in country.

Kampala, 22nd February, 2018: Today, International Medical Centre is excited to announce its newest branch in Kireka. The expansion drive is an initiative to grow the clinics network in different regions of the country and ensure every individual has access to the best healthcare.
The new state-of-the-art healthcare facility will provide specialized and general medical services to residents of Kireka and surrounding areas of Kira Muncipality
According to Joel Oroni, the IMC General Manager said “We are expanding our network into Kireka to fill the service gaps in healthcare as offered to the community. Currently, we are aggressively creating new presences in various areas, improving our clinical facilities and in certain places relocating to bigger and better premises” said Mr. Oroni
Adding that, we are always proud to be a solution of your health concern and ready to serve you. It is gratifying to see over 250 people come in to get access to free medical checkup treatment, counseling and referrals. Working closely with International Hospital Kampala and IAA, The International Medical Centre clinic will continue to expand its reach within the country so that we can touch different communities in the region, Mr. Oroni urged.

During the launch, the clinic conducted a whole day health outreach where a variety of free medical services was provided with the aim of improving the quality of life and general wellness. The outreach focused on providing free hepatitis B screening, immunization for children, free HIV screening, doctor consultation, breast cancer screening, heart disease screening using ECG, and eye checks.
Further noting that the center will operate daily on 24-hour clock and offer medical services such as: general consultations, family medicine specialist, vaccination, obstetrics & gynecology consultations, antenatal, Paediatrics, dental, ultrasound scan, Lancet laboratory services and specialized tests (including DNA testing, newborn screening, and allergy screening, Mr. Oroni said
Andre Ackerman, the CEO of the International Medical Group emphasized that “Our agenda at the group level is to bring professionalism back to the health industry, provide quality health care through the improved medical facility and specialized treatment. Patients will be attended to by most specialized doctors, received a prescription for the right doses and our doctors will always do follow-ups to find out how the patients are faring” Andre’ said.
Adding that “At the group level, we are busy improving healthcare sector which includes both expanding our clinics to have a truly national footprint and take healthcare to the community. We are in the process of upgrading our theatres and increasing not only the number of specialists but also introducing new specialties and procedures” Andre said.
The Kireka IMC is part of the growing network of IMCs in Uganda which has 16 operational centres and 5 site facilities.
